Papaver Somniferum Album

Opium Poppy it is widely, and often illegally, cultivated for the production of opium, heroine and morphine derived from the latex of the unripe fruit capsule. Since 1912 his cultivation is regulated by the international opium convention.
This species may be purple, red, blue, white, pink and grow up to 1.5m tall. The fruit is a distinctive capsule, spherical or oblong, up to 9cm across, with small holes in the top.
